Electric Bicycle CE certification bike CE certification electric car EN15194 certification

Scope of application:
     Electric car EN15194: 2009 certification range of continuous working power does not exceed 0.25kW;
     Equipped with a battery with a voltage not exceeding 48V and a charger with an input voltage of 230Va.c
     Recently, the EU Technical Committee of the bike special committee TC333 in Brussels discussed the CEN electric bicycle standard part of the finalized, the standard number EN15194, referred to as EPACs, namely: electric power wheel. The development of the new electric power bike (EPAC) safety standard EN15194 was basically completed in mid - November 2008. The standard range includes: DC voltage shall not exceed 48V; the maximum continuous rated power of 250W; when the speed reaches 25 kilometers per hour, the output gradually reduced the final cut off. It is optimistic that the new standard will take effect in July 2009.
     The new electric bike (EPAC) safety standard is far more complex than the CEN standard currently used for traditional bicycles. The birth of the new standard is more closely related to the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standard.
     EMC standards have been applied to all types of electronic equipment and vehicles in Europe, such as cars, motorcycles and motorized pedals. The purpose of the EMC Electromagnetic Compatibility Standard is to ensure that when people who use hearing aids or pacemakers are safe to drive a car or ride an electric bicycle, it is clear that the electromagnetic pulses generated from the electronic components of the vehicle can not be used for hearing aids And cardiac pacemakers. Once the vehicle containing the electronic components passes the EMC test, the CE mark will be affixed. All current electric bikes (with pedal) sold in the market are tested by EMC. The electric bicycle and electronic components with pedaling function will be tested in the same way as the new EN15194 EPACs safety standard, in the same way as cars, motorcycles and motorized pedals. The EPACs test is different from the CEN test. Manufacturers can do their own CEN testing, and in order to achieve EPACs / EMC standards, the entire system must be tested, after each small adjustment also need to test again.

      The new safety standard for electric two-wheeled vehicles is officially promulgated on the official website of the European Union, which will coincide with the EU Safety Directive, "the manufacturer is obliged to ensure the safety of the products it provides in the market." In terms of "market", EN15194 refers to the 25 EU member states plus Romania and four EFTA countries.
     Bicycle exports to the EU countries, need to apply for CE certification, the implementation of the EU bicycle standards, HYT remind the majority of the relevant export enterprises concerned.
         EN14764 (motorway), EN14766 (mountain bike), EN14781 (racing), EN14782 "Bicycle parts car hanger), EN14765 (city car and station wagons), EN14765 Baby carriage) has been formally implemented since December 1, 2006. According to the EU Safety Directive 2001/95 / EC, manufacturers must provide safe products to the market.The EU safety directive also provides that if the product manufacturer uses the EU standard Production, and its safety performance level is covered by the above standards, this product will be assumed to be safe.HHT recommended manufacturers through the testing organization to carry out the new standard test.A few export enterprises in the shipment was asked to provide the corresponding test report .HYT can make a report that meets EU requirements and resolve export certification for manufacturers.
     At present, there have been five on the bike CEN standard put into practice, namely:
     EN14764 (city and long distance bikes),
     EN14765 (baby carriage),
     EN17766 (mountain bike),
     EN14781 (race bikes)
     EN14872 (Bicycle Accessories - Car Hanger
